Mike Chester – The Handyman

Mike Chester, Handyman working in and around Haddenham and Thame
Mike  won his first recognition as a handyman by winning his handyman certificate when he was just 12 years old and a St. John Ambulance cadet. Since then, he has been working in the practical “hands on” world all his life.

He joined the Royal Navy when he left school, where he served an “old fashioned” 5 year engineering apprenticeship, gaining a wide range of skills that served as a solid basis for his future career. During his time in the Navy, Mike rather unexpectedly found himself a member of a gymnastics display team. Later he became a member of a small ship’s helicopter flight team and a veteran of the Falklands conflict.

After leaving the Navy,  the next 20 years or so saw Mike as a trouble-shooter and customer support specialist in the high tech world of analytical science, when he traveled widely around the world.

In more recent years, Mike finds that he prefers to work closer to home, and has put much of his energy into his handyman business.
